"Z/Rzw-Shiiiiiii” comprises three audio artworks that deal with three personal non-musical themes. The self-recorded percussion and vocal sounds used for this purpose were determined in advance on the basis of the thematics within the work.

“Z” consists solely of percussion sounds and has a total length of 17:10 minutes. This piece addresses so-called “cyclic thought processes” and how these act in relation to mental growth. “Z” is a personal handling of this topic and allowed the artist to interact with the thematics via a constructed musical matrix and fixed compositional tools.
“Rzw-Shiiiiiii” is a dense and intense choral piece with a total length of 8:51 minutes. Each note is sung with a specific intention. “Rzw-Shiiiiiii” addresses the differentiation between “soul” and “spirit”, and explores the question of how these two aspects of the human being might be purposefully conveyed through the voice.
“---thehidden” is a homage to Iannis Xenakis's piece “Concrete PH” and lasts for 7:41 minutes in total. It delves into how sounds can co-exist in a very narrow and, in this case, high frequency range. It is about suggesting spatial depth and audio diversity. It is an approach towards how noises and sounds naturally act in relation to each other. To this end, percussion sounds, oral noises, mini-amp feedback and 2 violin bows were used.

This drummer, based in Zurich, Switzerland, is involved in a multitude of collaborations with artists from various fields, as a performer and composer. His playful way of working conceptually makes him an active part of the progressive Swiss improvisation, pop and jazz scene. With his distinctive sound, energy and physical playing style, which often includes preparations and alternative techniques, he colours a broad spectrum of contemporary Zurich music.
He has a special interest in working together with other percussionists. The most prominent example of this is his work with the New York drummer Gerry Hemingway: Composition O. This collaboration directly arose from Glanzmann's solo work, in which he is primarily interested in cultivating a personal and intimate musical language.
Be it in self-initiated projects or in commissioned work, his focus is on the processing of intramusical and extramusical themes through conception, composition and play. Past composition commissions include a concept for a "100-year-old mill, vocals & drums" and a solo composition for the dance piece "Up/Beat", which he performed as a soloist together with the Lucerne Ballet at the Lucerne Theatre. He is currently working on another composition commissioned by the Lucerne Theatre's dance ensemble and is just finishing his work on a second release under his own name.
He obtained a Master of Arts degree in music (performance jazz) at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2012 and has operated as a freelancer and independent artist in Switzerland and Europe ever since. In December 2016, he was the artist in residence at the jazz club Moods in Zurich and in 2017 the city of Zurich honored him with the cultural award "Werkjahr".
He is co-organiser of the Zurich concert series Seismogram and works in a voluntary capacity as a member of the Moods Musicians Council and the Unerhört festival's Advisory Board. In these contexts, he considers it important to support and present the improvising and progressive musicians of Switzerland.
